Infinia Should wife and husband both take Infinia (FYF)?

Given a chance, if wife and husband get an invite for FYF Infinia, should they take both or only one?
Of course, Annual Spend criteria will not meet and end up paying Annual/Renewal fee.

IMO the only utility of having multiple infinia card is if you are planning to apple products as it will exhaust your 15k points for that month. Otherwise no use if you are not able to reach threshold.

Understood. We are not getting based on our bank balance/salaries. I will post in detail, once I receive the card. It is still in process.

If it is FYF, then you can try and take both cards

But... In the long run, it may not be useful unless you are consistently breaching the limits of smartbuy 15K. It is possible only when you book multiple flights costing >1L in a month or book multiple hotels costing >50K in a month.

Best option is to have Infinia + MB or Infinia + Plat Travel or Infinia + MB + Plat Travel + Atlas combinations

Generally speaking, both should take it as it is practically free due to reward points credit on fee payment. Having two cards would mean accelerated points on 1.8 lakhs of spends per month. This is helpful if you want to purchase international flights and trips. Similarly, you would be able to purchase 20k Amazon Pay vouchers on each card and so on. If you don’t anticipate spending that much per month, then one card is fine.

I recommend that one of you go with DCB Plastic instead of Infinia. You'll get an annual fee waiver on spends of 5L on the DCB. It also has unlimited lounge access and 2 aces up its sleeve that Infinia lacks - 2X RPs on weekend dining at restaurants (no Zomato/Swiggy) and monthly milestone benefits of 1k vouchers from Ola, BMS, Tata Cliq, Cult Fit (choose any 2 for 500 each) on spends of 80k. DCB Metal is a step higher but the annual fee waiver is on 8L and there are no monthly milestones but quarterly milestones in the form of 10k RPs on quarterly spends of 4L. Both DCBs do not reimburse the 10k annual fees with any RPs the way Infinia does. So keep that in mind.

P.S. - I have posted so many pro-DCB Plastic messages on TF that someone here will suspect that I am paid by Diners Club or HDFC or both 😛
