DCB Smartbuy Hotel Booking Failed

I had tried to book hotels twice using DCB and both times i didn't complete the payment but both times the reward points were debited. I got a notification from HDFC about the reversal of reward points but it says valid for only 1 month. Is this normal?

Reward points debited will be converted to an voucher and that voucher is valid for 1 month, you can use that voucher and if unused, points will be credited back to account after 1 month.

How soon did you get the voucher details from the time of failed/incomplete payment? I have the same issue but with flight booking. Can you help
