Solo Budget Trip to Abu Dhabi

Hi,

I will be visiting Abu Dhabi for 6 days soon. I will be travelling alone and trying to create a budget friendly itinerary.

Flight tickets and stay in Abu Dhabi for all days is booked. I can use only one day for visiting Dubai. Among other days, I have two entire days to roam in/around Abu Dhabi and on the remaining days, I will get time in mornings and evenings.

Please advice me on the following.

VISA:
1. Do I need to carry any documents like invitation letter, funding letter from my institute, etc. for availing visa-on-arrival? (I have a valid US visa) I watched some videos online and it seems no documents are required but I want to be sure.

2. Can I use Indian credit/debit card to pay the visa fee (will be using IDFC WOW) or I need to have cash in AED?

Dubai (One Day Tour):
1. Is it better to take a one day sight seeing package or go DIY, if I have to do everything within a single day?
2. Any underrated/hidden gem places I should visit?

Abu Dhabi Sight Seeing:
1. Any underrated/hidden gem places I must visit?
2. Any recommendation for Desert Safari? I see a lot of safari operators and unable to decide one. Also, it is cheaper and better to book it online or should I book it locally (offline)? If online, please suggest if there is any trusted cheaper site than the ones we use from India.
3. Veg food places to explore.

Cash:
1. Do I need to carry cash in AED (more than the emergency cash)? Or can I conveniently roam and eat with a credit card?
2. How much emergency cash should I carry? 😅

Things to Buy:
1. Any recommendation for buying things that are cheaper in Abu Dhabi?

Any other tips/suggestions?

Bro I’m also planning the same can you elaborate on the visa and how you got the visa and when you booked your flight tickets before getting the visa or after?

I haven't applied for visa. I will use the visa-on-arrival facility.
 
Do install Botim app for calls to India as calls via Whatsapp will not work. Even reciever should have the app installed.
