sorry for so many threads. searched on the forum but didn't understand much.
Can anyone tell me if educational fees are eligible for rewards on Magnus. 8211 IS MCC code

Update! i spoke with axis cc they said it will earn reward points as there is no such clause is t&c regarding educational payments

I didn't use any portal. College sent a razorpay link.

I think Razorpay allows to pay using ASV/wallet, depends on how much are we paying.

Depends on how the educational institute has shown itself. mcc 8211 is educational. And Axis Magnus and Atlas earn reward points on these. For anyone want to be sure regarding this my best guess will be wait for few days lemme do transaction on my magnus card. Idk how long it takes to credit rewards. but if it arrives I will tell you

My kids school had a tie up with ease buzz for school fees payment.

I was worried if this will be considered for reward points or not since i had not heard much of this payment gateway and the amount was well over a lakh. But thankfully points credited in full 🙂

Even I paid via the School portal and Razor pay 50000 .. Approx. 3K ER credited in 3 days with School Name on the Bill

Yes i did.
I was worried about the Eaze buzz payment gateway but thankfully no issues.

What's the MCC? I paid school fees and the MCC is 8299. Customer care told me that it will be considered for the monthly milestone.

My kid's school has been using razorpay for payments and I have used Magnus for nearly a year now and always got rewards. For this term I am just not able to use Magnus anymore! As soon as I enter the card details and click continue, a black page loads and then closes saying payment declined by bank. Axis bank guys are clueless since the transaction is not even getting registered in their system so they cant say why it is declined. Axis bank support says the problem is with Razorpay and Razorpay says the problem is with bank! Anyone else faced this issue and know of a solution?

Did u try with another card till otp page. So that u can rule out network and other such issues

Yes, I was able to pay with my other card (Apay ICICI). Before that, I tried my Burgundy Magnus, my wife's magnus add-on and Airtel Axis. All axis cards behaved the same and Axis customer care was useless. So I had to use Apay and settle for 1% cashback.

Faced similar issue not with Razorpay but a different payment gateway used by MCB for the school. Magnus was failing before the OTP page stating similar reason on 29, 30 Sep and 1st Oct. I went ahead with Ultimate then. But today this worked with Magnus - you can give it a try if you have additional term fee to pay.
