Technically, any VPN will give data if subpoena'd by the courts under their jurisdiction. For example, if the Swiss government subpoenas Proton to share data on request by the Indian Government, they will give it away. But if the Indian Government requests Proton to share directly, they can't. They operate under Swiss laws which is probably the strongest in the world. That being said, just because you have a VPN and turn it on, you are not secure just like that. You have to follow a set procedure to anonymize yourself, but this is something 99% of people are unaware of. Encryption and anonymity are available as a service, but that requires the user taking precautionary steps before relying on encryption and anonymity. It's like cloud services that operate on a shared responsibility model.
