Standard Chartered Credit card xx01 had a bill which I paid with 50K and there was another SC card ending with xx02 which had 1K payment due which I missed. SC instead of charging me late fee and reporting to cibil did internal transfer of funds of 1K to the unpaid bill and charged me exuberant interest charges of 4K and mentioned that I was short of payment of 1K
Is it justified

They did the same with me too. In my case, the auto debit did not happen at their end for an installment account and they transferred the outstanding manually and took it to the main account and charged exorbitant interest on the entire balance in the main account!

Did you complain and escalate? Wanting to know how you get this resolved.
If the bank doesn't do anything then rbi would be the best option.
