I have a primary HDFC card with a 9.5L CL (credit limit). I haven't received a CLE in over 3 years now. I just received a second card (Bonvoy-HDFC card). Now, both my primary card and this Bonvoy card will share the current limit. I have not yet activated the Bonvoy card but have received a few messages from HDFC asking me to activate it immediately.
Question: if I tell them I will activate the second card ONLY if they increase my credit limit, will they tell me to go to hell? Or is it likely they will consider it? Do they have anything to lose if I don't activate the card and vice versa - do I have anything to lose (other than the CIBIL hit?)
(the salary slip did not work for me - for a CLE, hence this question)
Thank you
