Suggest me good add-on credit cards that can co-exist in the same wallet or help build the add-on holders' credit scores

Dear friends,
I am looking to apply for some add-on credit cards for my wife, who resigned from her (good) government job six years ago.

Which of the following credit cards has separate benefits for its add-on cards? I'm looking for ideas. Please note that if the benefits are shared and there is just an increase in the card number, then it has no real impact because we usually stay and travel together. Only I will be using both cards.

This will also help others decide which banks to choose for add-on cards. Many would like to know about add-on credit cards that can co-exist in the primary cardholder's wallet or help build the add-on holder's credit score.

For reference, I currently hold the following credit cards: (in your comment, you can add more banks/cards for others to benefit from it)
-SBI Cashback CC
-SBI SimplySave CC
-AU LIT CC
-HDFC Millennia CC
-HDFC TataNeu Infinity CC
-ICICI Apay CC
-ICICI Platinum CC
-ICICI Coral CC

-Axis Airtel CC
-Axis IOCL CC
-Axis Privilege CC
-IDFC Power+ CC
-IDFC Select CC
-IDFC Virtual CC (will be surrendered soon)
-Indusind Legend CC
-BoB One CC

Thank you for your time and efforts to help me and others.
If you think your detailed answer might devalue the benefits, just mention the card name. I will search for the rest, myself.

All in your name only ?
Do Mrs 4050 have any card ?
Any previous credit history ?
You already know more than enough, but will suggest based on your answer 🤔

& All friends, her card/cibil history for further reference.

1. Her cibil currently showing only two gold loan of few lacs both that she took for me. 8-9 months cibil history. It's an overdraft (secured) gold loan so, no installment required to be paid back before one year (interest rate 8.8%). Her cibil score 760 - 775 (fluctuating, with every new application, because it's new).

2. December, 2024 applied first credit card ICICI Apay but rejected, possibly due to address mismatch (different state) and no usage of that apay account in last 2-3 years, plus no track record.

3. Applied two cc simultaneously in March, 2025, SBI Cashback, and HDFC Pixel Play (it was showing pre-approved LTF), Pixel play rejected instantly. Cashback still on hold. Under processing stage since last 20 days.

Waiting for pre-approved offers from HDFC. Her salary was good enough for all the cards that I am holding these days, but we did not know about the benefits of CC back then.

------
Unnecessary note:
We could have delayed her resignation for few more years but, we are honest people, we did not wanted concerned stakeholders to suffer for our fantasy (personal choice).

Now, due to my stupidity, we are in a financial breakdown (for two more years, maybe), that's another story, irrelevant here.

ICICI shares all the credit history with add on card user as an Authorised user. Don't know about others.

1. Hold basic savings a/c in Axis bank (she as primary user) Do an FD of around 1L then break it after 2-3 months, within 1 year she will have pre-approved offer.
2. HDFC is tricky. Gives card to even school boys and reject even if you hold good trv.
3. ICICI apply for platinum/coral first, APay is their most sought after card hence the high rejection. (even FD card will work)

Try applying Axis Neo maybe from any channel like Amazon where it is offered LTF?
I have somewhat reasons to believe it is given out easily.

Getting an add-on on the following cards will not help with the add-on CIBIL.
I'm not sure why secured credit cards get so much negativity. While it's true they might seem irrelevant once you have unsecured cards, in my experience, they can be extremely useful.

Two things really helped me build my credit journey: first, Amazon BNPL, and then the One Card secured credit card. After getting the secured One Card, I started receiving pre-approved offers. In 2023 alone, I got three credit cards in a single month—my first unsecured card was the ICICI Amazon Pay card with a ₹1.5L limit, approved instantly with no documents or verification. That was followed by the Axis Flipkart card with a ₹15K limit and Tata Neu Plus with ₹45K. All without verification or income docs.

If you're just starting, I highly recommend getting any secured credit card with at least a ₹5K fixed deposit. Use it regularly—even small transactions like ₹100 a month are enough. Opting for the RuPay variant is even better since it supports UPI payments, making it easier to build a good repayment record.

Sadly except sale offers none of them offered separate benefits (or not much separate benefits to enjoy new additional card).

- ICICI: Heard these cards show up in CIBIL of add-on, so might work but in your case that won't be necessary because she already has credit score. And ICICI cards not good with benefits alone forget about shared.

But if possible, try for Sapphiro -- might work for movie benefits (but I don't think for two members that is needed, usually 1 enough).

My suggestion:

- Apply Airtel or SimplyClick (both easy to get in her stage) or IDFC cards (not usful but if needed) with her name and close yours.

// with this you both have no common cards, she will get her CIBIL with these cards and u continue to enjoy your benefits.

(since Axis separate CIBIL entries, hope airtel is not your oldest card then no issues with closure, same for IDFC)

Do I need an Axis Bank account to get their credit card? Applied three times, still no luck jabki HDFC and ICICI apay approve hua with good limit.
