Hey everyone,

I’m planning to book Air India tickets worth ₹1,20,000 for a Delhi-Bangkok-Delhi trip and want to maximize my credit card rewards. I have the following cards:
  • AMEX Platinum Charge (10X rewards, 30,000 Marriott points, ₹15,000 value)
  • HDFC Infinia (5X rewards, 15,000 Infinia points, ₹15,000 value)
  • Axis Atlas (6,000 miles → 12,000 Accor points, ₹21,600 value)

Reward Comparison:

CardPoints/Miles EarnedFinal Value (₹)Reward Rate (%)
AMEX Platinum30,000 Marriott Points₹15,00012.5%
HDFC Infinia15,000 Infinia Points₹15,00012.5%
Axis Atlas6,000 Miles → 12,000 Accor Points₹21,60018%

Key Questions:

  1. Would you still go with Axis Atlas, or am I missing any better option?
  2. Any better transfer/conversion strategy for AMEX or Axis miles?
  3. Should I consider any other card for this transaction?
Looking forward to your expert suggestions! Thanks in advance! 😊

Key Questions:

Do you look for only number or experience? Because certainly you're looking here numbers especially in "reward rate" column, but what about "Point/Miles Earned" column which says, One said redeem me on 'Marriott' and other says redeem me on 'Accor'.

So, if you're ok with 'Accor' sadly, only Axis is an option. But if you went with numbers, there are possibilities to confuse that..

1. did u check that price in other places, whats the actual value ur' getting for your points when compared to that price?

  1. Any better transfer/conversion strategy for AMEX or Axis miles?

those are the best options which u already mentioned.

  1. Should I consider any other card for this transaction?

yes, platinum charge that is 75k annual fee card with you. can't it help 1.2L travel?

I guess bashing and judging people is the best thing these days....

Rather than asking illogical questions, you should ignore this post or may be leave this community since you are so self sufficient.

If you didn't understand the simple question, just ignore it.

Hey man I think you misread @helloworld 's tone a bit. He wasn't judging or bashing you. It's just commentary mixed with answers (atleast as I read it)
