TATA NEU card on HDFC Card cancellation

I currently have HDFC MoneyBack+ Visa card and just got my HDFC Tata Neu card approved based on MoneyBack+ card.
As per my knowledge, I'd have to pay 590 as annual fees on the Tata Neu card as well as Moneyback+ card. So in total 1180 in card fees.

So my question is, if I cancel my HDFC MoneyBack+ card will my Tata Neu card will get cancelled as well? Or the limit will be blocked?

I wanted a rupay card but I don't see the point in paying so much just for a Rupay card.

Please advice.

Not at all..If you cancel your money back plus then only money back one will get cancelled.Your Tata neu plus will remain active...

By the way if you just applied tata neu to get just a rupay card then better you have approached customer to change your moneyback plus VISA to moneyback plus Rupay..They would taken your request of franchise conversion easily..

Thank you for the information. Actually, initially, HDFC sent me a MC card but I converted it to VISA, didn't know back then that Rupay will have UPI feature. But will keep the Moneyback+ for now as the bank just charged the joining fees on Moneyback+ card and will be included in this month's cycle.

You can convert tata neu card to Rupay variant by placing request with customer care. I did that within few days of getting visa variant. I have already regalia CC as LTF in visa variant hence went with tata neu rupay variant. My experience in using it in UPI is relatively good when doing through Gpay upi compared to Bhim Upi since the latter most of times is slow and lags

You can also try asking them to reverse the fees. If they don't, then place a closure request, then they'll reverse it for sure.
You also could have tried few tricks to get TN Card as LTF (if you search in this forum there are many).

I'll try that. But what if they cancel the card? As the Moneyback+ card's limit is being shared with my NEU card.

How did you get neu card based upon your money back card. I called customer care to issue neu card based on Regalia card, they rejected
