Tata Neu Infinity - ISSUED and ACTIVE in Tata Neu App - but HDFC says it is DORMANT

Tata Neu Infinity card applied last month and issued about 10 days back.

That number is visible in HDFC's SB account too. But, marked as Dormant.
SB account is mapped to main phone number but the card is issued on second number.
Unable to add to HDFC's App's MyCards due to this mismatch (we thought so).

In the last 10 days, contacted HDFC's Customer Care number to get it activated.

They asked us to get in touch with Tata Neu Team for (a) change of phone number and
(b) for activation.

Tata Neu Team opened 2 tickets to change the phone number and did it in 1 day - even
it was a Sunday. Great work. Appreciate their dedication. They asked us to go back to
HDFC for activation.

Back to HDFC Customer Care. They asked us to get in touch with the branch. Spoke to
them - asked us to go back to HDFC Customer Care (HDFCCC).

Wrote a detailed letter to HDFCCC. Explaining everything. And, asking them to activate
the card.

It is already showing as ACTIVE in the Tata Neu App. Able to attach it to UPI. But,
transactions are NOT GOING THRU.

Today, got a reply saying that the CARD WAS APPROVED, ISSUED AND DESPATCHED.
BUT, NOW FOUND THAT IT IS A MISTAKE. SO THEY HAVE BLOCKED IT AS DORMANT.

I am wondering whether HDFC has started recruiting blind people in their Chennai
CC processing centre ? How can it happen like that ? Their reply is full of holes.

I wrote back to them asking about 6 questions and asking them to immediately
delete that so-called credit card entry in my SB account.

Anyone in this group had faced such a situation ?

Is it a regular feature in HDFC ? In their Chennai CC processing centre ?

Despite this saga, I continue to get promotional messages in my eMail and via SMS
asking me to apply for Tata Neu / HDFC cards and also about the various offers that
are now on for Tata Neu cardholders. STRANGE, SILLY AND STUPID, to say the least.

I received SMS from HDFC that card was dispatched, and received it yesterday as well (in the morning) and also received SMS confirmation that card was delivered. But EMail regading dispatch status was sent by HDFC today and so, thinking of waiting for 3-4 days before enabling the card.
 
Rubbing salt into the wound.... HDFC STYLE.

TN Infinity - issued. Not delivered. Blocked. Never said sorry.

Till Now, bombarding me with emails/SMSs n net banking offers for unwanted CCs....

The LATEST MARKETING FIASCO.

Now, ASKING ME TO RECOMME/REFER TATA NEU INFINITY N PLUS CARDS TO MY FRIENDS N FAMILY MEMBERS.

They don't give me my card - on top of it - they want me to market it.

Saala, paagal HoGaya.... HDFC.
 
A bit different issue with mine. Applied and approval received for Infinity variant. But received Plus variant.
The Tata neu app is still showing the card as Infinity variant in the app.

Did you reach RBI regarding this?
 
Not worth wasting time on taking this silly thing with RBI. Wrote eMail to their PNO. I am not in a hurry. My other 9 CCs are more than enough and quite useful.
I would suggest calling them. You can get the State Nodal Office number here. He will surely help. It would hardly take 2-3 mins.

Next, in line is their PNO and later RBI.
That will have to wait, as I am traveling now till Jan 20/2024.

During these 4 months - I got SMSs n emails asking/pleading/begging me to apply for their top CCs. Marketing n agents doings their job - in isolation - and in an unconnected way to the bank.

Similar case with me... In July, got Infinity card approved and dispatched, but on old office address. Bluedart returned without even calling me. 2 rounds of this same issue, next I know, card got blocked, because of RBI rule of activating card within 30 days of approval.

Now Tata Neu App shows card as ACTIVE, but HDFC mycards says card is blocked.

HDFC asked me to get in touch with Tata Neu & apply again. So I raised this issue with Tata Neu, got in touch with their dev team, turns out they're not checking card status from HDFC everytime you login. Only once when card is approved. Therefore if the card is closed directly by HDFC, Tata Neu won't even know. How idiotic this even sounds! But for me, I was not able to apply again as Tata Neu app shows I already have active card. All this was back in Aug/Sep. Dev team assured to fix this in next release or so, but still in Nov, after many app version updates, I still see that old card (which HDFC closed 5 months back) shown as ACTIVE in Tata Neu app. No option to apply again. What a pathetic piece of crappy software this is.
