Hello TFers,

I wanted to know if anyone has any idea on taxation on money transfered through cc to upi/bank account through fee payment options on apps like paytm, cred, freecharge etc.

Will the person receiving money will have to pay any tax?

I was thinking to transfer to my family member to reach a milestone, is it ok for one time thing? But amount is around 2.5 lakhs, but I am planning to do half half in 2 months?

Hi Folks, bumping this thread, need advice please..
Someone suggested apps like paidkiya and pice for diners.. are they trustworthy and any other advice too are welcome.

No one has any idea if these education fee transactions to family member's account can be tracked by IT as taxable or not?

Yes the receiver whoever is liable for tax paying
If u see apps like housing we have to give the pan details of every beneficiary once we register which means they can run a report pan wise and send it to IT easily
But thing is that if an housewife or a senior citizen has tax free income till 7l so such category can file a zero return
