TECHNOFINO COMMUNITY RULES AND GUIDELINES​

This page includes rules and guidelines for using the TechnoFino Community. We assume good faith when dealing with violations. We will only warn or ban users who repeatedly or blatantly violate the rules. Administrators have the final say in modifying, interpreting, and enforcing these rules.

Subject Coverage:

Posts in these forums must be only related to Banking, Credit Cards, Investment, Insurance, Traveling, Airmiles, and Personal Finance.

Community Rules & Guidelines:

• No spam, advertising, or self-promotion. Spammers, especially new members, will be banned without warning. Social media links are allowed only for sharing information, not for promotion.
• Do not post copyright-infringing material or share content from social media without authorisation. Copying and sharing content from TechnoFino Community to other sites is prohibited unless the original post's link is included and the author is properly credited.
• Offering compensation for using referral links is prohibited and may lead to a ban, including for moderators. Referral links are only allowed in profile signatures or in original, detailed posts (minimum 1,000 words) about any banking product. Terms like "Referral" or "link" are not allowed and may result in a temporary ban.
• Defaming the TechnoFino Community or moderators will result in suspension until a proper explanation is given; repeat offences may lead to a permanent ban.
• Sexually suggestive, abusive, racist, politically affiliated, or gender-biased content will be removed, and appropriate action may be taken without warning.
• Political discussions are prohibited; violating this rule may result in a one-month account suspension.
• Offensive religious content will be removed, and intentional offenders will be permanently banned. Religious display pictures are allowed if compliant.
• We may edit posts containing incorrect information or violating community guidelines.
• You own the content you post, but we can use, share, transfer, or sub-license it.
• Impersonation is prohibited and will result in a lifetime ban without warning.
• Discussions about document forgery are not allowed and will lead to a permanent ban.
• Card sharing is permitted, but we are not liable for any financial loss, and it should not be discussed in the community.
• Creating or encouraging users to join external groups will result in a warning to all involved.
• Only RML members may post buying or selling threads on their profiles. Buying, selling, or trading posts are not allowed in the general section or outside the RML Lounge and will be removed without warning. The platform is not responsible for any losses resulting from such activities, whether public or privately via DMs.

Ideal Behaviour:

1. Remain respectful to other community members at all times.
2. Actively respond to only the queries of which you have the correct information.
3. Kindly refrain from interacting, if you don't have the correct information with first-hand experiences.
4. Try to group your replies into one comment by clicking on the reply button of multiple comments before submitting your comment.
5. Report any post/comment or profile if found violating community guidelines.
6. You can spread the quality content posted here that we have here by sharing links of the posts given here among your circles so that it helps the whole community by expanding our reach and including new and contributing members.

How To Create A Post:

Please use SEARCH first!
There is a pretty good chance that unless you have some odd or unique problem the same has been addressed on our forum before, please use the forum’s search feature first to see if there are already some good threads on the subject. It’s easy to search – just click the “Search” button at the top right of the page.


How To Title A Thread:
When starting a thread, use a topic that indicates the specific subject. This helps members know if the thread is of interest, and is especially important when other members do a search of the forums by the thread title. If you choose a poor title for your thread, the moderators may rename it.

Double Posting:
Choose the most appropriate forum when starting a thread. If you have a choice, pick one forum, and do not start the same thread more than once. We routinely remove duplicate threads.

FAQs

Am I allowed more than one account?
No, you can have only one account.

What happens if I break a rule?
If you break a rule, then you will either be warned or banned. A ban on your user account may either be temporary or permanent depending on the severity. We have already mentioned the respective action for all kinds of violations above but since new situations may arise at any time we may deal with them at our discretion.

What happens if I see a thread/post which has broken a rule?
Please report the thread/post to the moderators or admin.

How to join TechnoFino VIP Lounge and what exactly does it offer?
TechnoFino VIP Lounge is an exclusive section of the community that is accessible only to premium card holders so that they exclusively discuss all their queries with other premium card holders. For all the information on joining the forum kindly click here.

Reporting Rule Violations:

If you observe a thread or post that violates the rules or think that another member is habitually causing problems, please do the following:

1. Click the Report icon next to a forum post to send an alert message to the moderators.
2. Fill in the message box with an explanation of the problem.
3. When you use the Report icon, the post is automatically sent to the administrator along with your message.
4. Click the send button. Your alert messages will be sent privately to the moderators.

Spam

Unwanted advertising and messages with promotional links (spam) are a problem for every forum system. Most spam is created by "bots", automated software created for this unscrupulous purpose.
If you see spam, please report it to us. We remove spam regularly to keep the forums free of advertising. Please do not post in spam threads.

Advertisement

Use of the forums for commercial advertising is prohibited, as is using the forums for any other form of personal or business profit or gain or to promote a particular commercial business or service. If you want to announce a promote a fundraiser related to bone marrow failure diseases, check with an administrator first.

Becoming A Moderator

Eligibility Criteria

• All moderator applicants must be members for at least 120 days (4 months) and have at least 250 posts.
• One must also maintain a working knowledge of the subject matter.
• One can contact TechnoFino to become a moderator.
• Please be aware that applying to be a moderator does not guarantee acceptance and that moderators will only be appointed when needed.

Duties of a Moderator

• Be proactive.
• One must be active in the individual forum one wishes to moderate and regularly create and respond to threads in those forums.
• Be polite and helpful towards other members and give advice wherever needed and whenever possible.
• Visit the forum each day, and actively take part in discussions as often as possible, ideally once a day, setting a good example to the other members.
• Take an active part in discussions between Moderators relating to the running of the forum.
• Help keep unsuitable content out of the forums as much as possible.

Currently being a moderator is voluntary with no remuneration involved.
