I recently purchased travel insurance through amex wherein they transfered the call to icici Lombard rep. I took 5 single travel insurance. For less than 50 years they charged me 1825 for a cover of 500000usd and for over 75 it is 5164 and upto 75 years 3762 inr and less than 70years it is 3178 premium . Reason I brought going through amex is safer as their chargeback system is good and claim wise it will be easy. I believe hdfc also provides travel insurance but upto age of 70 and they should be your family members like husband wife children's and dependent parents only. You can't buy for others knowing hdfc with lot of restrictions and claim process a bit difficult somecards in hdfc have accidental insurance etc check it out only thing u need travel I surance if u r travelling.
