Travel with stopover with different airlines

Hi,

I was searching for Mumbai Oslo award ticket using Krisflyer and I have attached the option I got.

Question -
1) will the baggage get checked in from Mumbai and I will receive in Oslo directly or I will need to collect at London and checkin baggage again?

2) will it require UK Visa?

Mumbai London is Air India and London Oslo is Scandinavian Airlines. Question is more generic also as I see similar redemption options with United too where different legs in 1/2 stop flight have different airlines.

it depends. if its single PNR ticket then yes,

generally they mention in description. check it before buying.

Thanks. I am booking star alliance award ticket with krisflyer miles which is giving this route. Not mentioned anywhere it is single pnr or not.

Sure. Will check it. Taxes is Turkish are generally higher than Krisflyer or United though. And can’t book tickets for family members online with Turkish so that is a hassle. Haven’t explored Avianca. Will check that.

Taxes are not that high to london when i last booked via turkish. For turkish, you need to create separate account per family member for the first booking (but its worth the hassle since miles difference is approx 11k)

AI has a codeshare agreement with SAS. So, if it's under same PNR, no issues with baggage.
