ULIP/Insurance Payment - I know there are multiple threads for it! Sorry!

Hi TF Family,

So for the last 30 minutes, I am going through various threads and unable to find a suitable answer for myself and hence eventually a new thread for it.

I have a 1.25 Lks worth ULIP Payment to be done before 15th Jan (I know I am an idiot to buy ULIP, lets skip that part).
I was confident to do payment with Neu Infinity in Neu App (was Ok with 2K neu coins) , but to my surprise, neu app is not allowing me to make the payment using CC (only UPI).

Next, I tried using APAY and like everyone else, its showing a ~1800 convenience fee (but 2500 CB in return, eventually 700+ profit).

^^ Is this the best I could get for making this payment?

The cards I have:
AMEX MRCC (Plat Travel I closed recently).
ICICI Sapphiro
ICICI APAY
HDFC DCP
HDFC
AXIS Airtel
SBI Cashback
IDFC Wealth
IndusInd Legend
OneCard (Federal, if that makes any difference).

I can apply for any other card (FYF Preferably, CIBIL 810+) and I am sure, that atleast the virtual card will reflect if I apply now and can use it before 15th to make the payment.

Let me know if there are any more question and Sorry to the mods for creating this redundant thread. (I am sure, we need a dedicated thread for Insurance Payment for 1lk+ as many such threads are open on this for long).

Where you are doing your transaction? I recently did max life insurance on official site with 0 convenience fees for someone else where I got 2% from him , 1% from Amazon on transaction & will get additional cb for for clearing dues with dc. Another way is sbi cb from which you can pay by collecting AGC but I am unsure if such big amount is allowed. Earlier some wallet balance + cc was working that you need to check if it's working.

Really? Premium payment from Max life insurance website had 0 convenience fees through CC?

I have to pay my insurance premium. I just now checked Axis acquired Max life and hence website name changed to Axis Max Life Insurance.
I can see they ae charging 3% convenience fee if paid through CC.

Yes I paid without convenience charges that day, unsure now.

the ulips that we can pay via amazon pay balance, tried and succeeded
1. LIC
2. Icici pru
3.hdfc
Has anyone tried and successfully paid Tata or axis max

I would go with HDFC DCP. HDFC is one of the few cards that reward insurance payments. For Rs.150000 payment you can redeem a voucher worth Rs.2000 from Pizza Hut or some other eateries as best value.

If you can try to get an upgrade to DCBM in the next 20 days though. But given how lethargic HDFC is I can't see you getting the card by then even if you can get it approved which is a task in itself. And HDFC does not do virtual cards.
