Unable to apply Millennia Online LTF offer - Suggestions needed - NTB

Hi folks,
I'm trying to apply Millennia under the ongoing LTF offer for a family member.

We tried applying from Cashkaro and also from HDFC Millennia product page.

But HDFC system shows DCP, Swiggy and Tneu Plus cards only.

I tried contacting HDFC but they said their system automatically suggests credit card based in internal policies and we can't apply millennia online if it is now shown by their system automatically.
I could find specific URLs for applying swiggy, Tneu, Regalia Gold, but their seems to be no special application URL for Millennia.

Is there any way to apply for Millennia?

Salary above 1.3L.

Can we directly apply millennia offline? (if so, I would still lose 2k+ vouchers for online application..)

Any workaround or suggestions?

This happened to me as well. Your salary is too high for Millenia. Take DCP as it's LTF as well and then downgrade after 3-6 months.

I had a chat with the Credit Card agent whilst applying for DCP offline and this is what I understood:

If you’re pre-approved for a higher variant Credit Card like Regalia Gold for example, applying offline for a lower variant like Millenia will definitely get you through the first stage, which is eligibility. Most applications get declined at this stage, but there is still some offline checks and Physical Verifications left. You mostly get to avoid this stuff when applying online via the pre-approved route. So you might get unlucky and have issues with these checks but the likelihood of you getting Millennia if you apply offline via an agent is pretty high. Not as high as applying online via pre-approved route though. And make sure to fill in your office address properly in the form if you do go via offline route.

Btw you lose out on vouchers. But the card will still be LTF if applied between offer period.

The reason for not opting for DCP is that we mainly need the millennia for 5% on Amazon Pay vouchers. Which DCP won't provide.
We already have movie benefits and lounge. So, International lounge is the only DCP benefit for us.

(Swiggy gives 5% on amazon with a trick but I don't want him to get a cobranded card as first HDFC card. Also the trick might end later)

Secondly, I'm not sure about LTF downgrade.. from DCP to Mill.
As I once asked HDFC if they would let me downgrade back to Millennia LTF if I opted for Regalia Gold upgrade.
They said LTF downgrade will not be possible. i'd have to take paid card.

@Pissant thank you for the insights on offline application.
I believe applying offline would be the best way to go here.

(No option for 'preapproved' since there is no HDFC account)
We've been trying to negotiate Regalia Gold or Millennia LTF with nearby HDFC branch in exchange of Salary account, but they couldn't assure these cards as LTF.

Millenia now only gives 1% on gift vouchers directly. Millenia also costs ₹180 per year as you receive reward points worth ₹1000 on renewal charges so only GST is charged. So as good as LTF.

unfortunately, both your facts are outdated/incorrect.

Welcome Benefit of 1000 CashPoints will be given to the cardholder if the joining membership fee is paid.
• There will be no cashpoints posting for renewal membership fee payments.

Both? your counting seems off. Besides, their main page still shows rewards points for the renewal fees. So not really "my" facts, are they?

Yeah for the 5% thing, you can check millennia threads on technofino.. the amazon mcc isn't excluded.. more of a bug but works.

renewal fee doesn't give 1000 points as per their detailed tnc.. if someone has a paid card, they can confirm. I have LTF

I didn't mean to be disrespectful or anything. Just highlighted the tnc so anyone referring to that post later knows that it may not be accrrate.

@Pissant
+ @ any other members who have had offline experiences.
I approached my RM and connected with CC guy at the branch.

He took the documents. We told him we're only interested in Regalia Gold LTF or Millennia LTF, whichever he can get.
He said it might be possible for RG as well coz of salary and Millennia LTF for sure...
But the way he said it didn't impart much confidence..

When I confirmed again, he said that he has sent the documents to Chennai/backend and would take 7-10 days.
When I asked which variant he specifically applied, he said backend office will check docs and allot the card and limit.

I asked him why he didn't do an online application from branch, to which he said that is only for existing customers & NTB customers are processed from chennai.

This also means that by the time the documents reach, Millennia LTF period might be over (16 Jan), to which he said the application date will be considered as the date they sent the documents.

I am a bit confused by the overall process, given that he hasn't explicitly confirmed a card variant and would also take another week to confirm anything.. by then LTF offer would be over.

Any suggestions to get this sorted? Is this the usual process for new applicants?

@knight

In my case documents were not necessary as I was pre-approved for the card. If your Salary is above 2lk per month credited into your HDFC Account, then yes he might be able to get LTF approval for you. You should try to retain some proof of your application, like a photo of the docs you signed/an email conversation with your RM. Or best of all, ask for a photocopy of the application documents. This would act as proof of your date of application and allow you to ask for LTF (if not issued LTF) from Grievance Redressal.

But I don't understand how you are a NTB Customer if you already hold an account with HDFC.

The card is applied for a family member as mentioned in earlier posts.

He doesn't have any relationship.

I am ETB and just helping out since I have contacts and we share cards.

any application approved within offer period will be ltf. Not sure about pending application. Most likely it won't be.

Rg/dcp ltf is easy. It needs only cluster head(branch)/regional cc head approval.

With offline application you won't get joining bonus. That is only if you apply without any hdfc employee support. When you apply offline , cc agent/sm gets the commission.
