Yup, I had the same issue when I was trying to pay the SBI cashback cc bill. If this is the first time you are using it, you will need to wait at-least 2 days then it will work.

There's a cooling period after adding a new biller on Smartpay
Security Control Credit Card:-After registration 2 hours no trxn allow, between 2 hours to 24 hours limit of Rs. 10,000 and after 24 hours limit upto 2 lakhs.

This is happening with me as well. In fact, I paid my ICICI credit card bill using cred and it was reversed back to my account after 2 days after it failed. Now I have paid the bill from the ICICI mobile app using my HDFC NetBanking account and it’s still not been credited, today is the 2nd day!
