I regularly check my Experian credit report and raise disputes when I find errors. However, I usually forget about them once submitted. Today, I noticed that my bank account was credited with ₹5,100 by Experian.
At first, I thought it was a mistake. But after thinking about it, I believe this might be compensation for a delayed dispute resolution, as per RBI guidelines. I recall having multiple pending disputes but never really followed up, as I wasn’t sure how to claim compensation from RBI or which dispute was unresolved for too long.
Has anyone else experienced this with Experian or any other credit bureau? Would love to hear your thoughts!
