Union Bank Rupay Select Debit card for basic savings account

I wanted to open Union Bank savings account just to get rupay select debit card.

Contacted many branches they said insta kit of rupay select not available so if i want rupay select need to our request and get it home delivered but the question is are they giving rupay select debit card to the lowest savings account variant now?

Bank staff saying possible but don't know whether he is just lying to lure a new customer.

I don't think union bank will charge you a fee for opening a ac.

Just open, if you get it's good else upgrade variant or look for bob.

You can't get Union Bank of India RuPay Select DC with SBGEN accounts for that you either need SBHNI or Salary-2 Account.

It says you can just mention you are a photographer or actor. Just submitted my account upgrade request today, didn't need any docs. The RM said will issue a select card tomorrow

I went to the branch and asked to have my account converted. He didn't know about this varient and asked me where I saw it. I showed the bank's website with the details, and then he made a few calls to someone asking how to convert the account. Then told me that it will be done and I'll have to cancel my old card and apply for a new one. Everything was done in 2 days from conversation to issuing new card

how much is the debit card charges? 10k is AMB to maintain.. right ? Did they ask for any professional proof as the website says it’s only for professionals ?
