Unknown Purchase Interest Charge in SC Smart Card Statement

Got the recent SC Smart Card Statement.. AS from Statement Very Clear that I had paid all the due of the last statement Even Got a credit of refund from IRCTC but still charged with some unknown Purchase Interest Charge.. What kind of charges are these ?? Any Idea

Just get rid of this bank for heaven's sake. Worst is they never bother to reply to any emails.

This is going on since some time from SC. Many people got charged for interest. The only solution is to keep calling, emailing them till they remove those charges.

I have sc smart credit card and I used 50k last month on utilities and 50.7k on education payment using housing and today my statement got generated, i have used only this amount i.e 50000+50781 so total due should be 100781/- but they charged me some purchase interest of 5543.10, what the hell is this and also my total due 107012.57 ie also wrong calculation. Can someone please tell ABT this.



Update: All that extra fees got reversed 🎉

Got reply from SC Bank , But seriously for 54paise outstanding they are charging INR2092+GST , also not considering any refund under outstanding payment category. Creepy what kind of logic they are using 😡😡

This is a clear violation of RBI guidelines, which says that banks must consider any refund and cashback as payment.

Close sc card, they are doing regulerly and have closed 7 years ago due to same reason.

This is a new feature of all of this this bank's credit card. Ever since their extremely successful credit card system upgrade, all of us stupid enough to sintiue with them are being treated to these charges and interest and fees.

Probably they decided it's one way to pay for the flop show! 🙂
