Unsolicited DMs Promoting Referral Links is Allowed? Got one recently!

Since when did spamming got allowed in this forum and that too via DMs?

I just got a DM from a member of this forum with their AmEx referral link and I did not even ask for it.

I understand people get referral bonus/points but why so desperate? That's not how you refer someone. Give value and in exchange leave it up to the other party to decide not spam like this. It's not appreciated.

I guess it's OK if they do not give you a lot of trouble. You can simply ignore such messages. Very less people have the courage to do so. 😉

No spam should ever be tolerated or encouraged. It kills the quality having spammers around.

Knowledge exchange is one thing and through which one could promote their referral link not upright DM spam everyone just to earn some points. That's cheap.
