Can I upgrade my basic zero balance account to 25k or any other varient. Also, will the account number stay the same?

Any bank upgrade, should not effect your bank account number, your existing debit card and associated fee , new account variant supported Debit cards and it's fee might get effected.

Check with customer care on that. Or visit physical branch.

Existing fd's related also once check, should not impact, but sometimes these duffers use some cheap tricks, better to cross check.
