UPI Payments using Visa and Master Credit Cards

Presently G Pay and SBI Card Apps enabled Visa and Master Credit Cards also for scan and pay option through UPI. But this works only to scan Bharat QR and not UPI QR.
That's still a welcome development because Bharat QR is visible at many merchant outlets.

The question is if such payments (scan and pay) made on Visa send Master Credit Cards fetch same regular card specific rewards/cashback or lower rewards/cashback? Can anyone clarify it from authentic source or experience

Yes, they fetch the same reward points as per the applicable Mcc. I've done it multiple times in Axis cards.

Does anyone know if we can have bhart qr on pinelabs as most of the store shows upi in pinelab machine itself if there is a way then we can ask them for pine labs and have benifit of higher rewards on card which offer higher reward on online mode as bharat qr is considered as online payment via visa and mastercard

Let's say can we ask it at dmart or zudio or any offline store to say for this 🤔.

Depending on the eligible MCC, you will get 1% or 5%.

Long back , may be an year ago. I used it to pay for Nandini sweets and I did get 5%. Scan is treated as online pay and indeed it is as the landing page is online PG.
