UPI scam senior citizen

Yesterday, some guy sent some links to my mother. Which asked for UPI pin and it setup standing instruction on my mother's pnb account for ~ 99000 and change. She realised it after again the amount was deducted for 2nd time. She has filed a complaint with police and also the local cyber cell. Also we have informed pnb customer who have put hold on her account etc. is there a chance that she will get back her money? Can I do something here?

Oof. I think you have a very long and hard battle ahead. It will be very hard to get that money back and you’ll have to fight for it. File FIR, write to PNO

always educate your parents about any random person/call asking for UPI thingy, tell parents always first connect with their kids who know things.
