I have a NRE account with IndusInd and planning to open NRO account for UPI usage.
How is UPI with IndusInd? Is it reliable or there are too many payment failures?

Yes, go for it.
It is reliable.

There will be some issues in every bank's UPI, it is inevitable. However, it is rare in leading private banks.
