USA Visa consular appointment rescheduling

I have an OFC appointment scheduled in Mumbai on the 13th of September and a consular appointment scheduled on the 19th. Unfortunately, due to a personal emergency, I anticipate that I will not be able to attend the consular interview on the 19th.

Given this situation, I would like to know if it is possible to reschedule my consular appointment to a later date, after my OFC appointment is completed and the biometrics are done.

Yes you can do that , firstly, after completing your biometrics, then you can change your counsellor appointment date.

Generally you get 3 Chances for rescheduling right.. Any tricks to get early appointment.. Mine is in March as of now!!

Yes, we get 3 chances i.e 1 original+ 2 reschedules. The slots are random. I always logged in 11PM onwards but this is not a sure shot trick. The early slots can open at any time of the day.

The problem with here is even if you get an early ofc appointment, there is no guarantee that you will get the counselor appointment

I've made bookings through the new visa slot booking website, ustraveldocs. However, I've been told that unlike the old site, the new site doesn't allow rescheduling of just the consular interview.

Wanted to be sure. Else would need to reschedule both.

Yes, I know that the website has changed to US travel docs , earlier it was the same process, but now just contact customer care executive of us consulate , you will get a perfect answer through them . This is the contact number .+912262011000
