Using Magnus to book hotel room (Agoda Vs travel edge)

Hi,
I am looking for a hotel booking (100% refundable on cancellation). Both agoda and travel edge show the same cost and conditions. I am familiar with agoda and I am pretty sure that the amount is refunded if I cancel. How reliable is travel edge when it comes to cancellations?

Also, what is the additional benefit that I get when I book through travel edge using Magnus? (Please note that I will be using the card and not the points for the reservation)

Idk how reliable the travel edge is vis-a-vis refund and all , but you get 5x points (Uncapped) when booked via travel edge ,so for magnus you get 60 ER per 200 spent.

No I did not get the information on time. So I went with Agoda.

I was charged extra on travel edge for my flight bookings. I just dropped email to the team and without ifs & buts I got the refund.

Same goes for cancellation. Once I cancelled my flight & then reminded travel edge to refund the amount. They asked me PNR, Passenger name & refund amount. By Mistake I quoted 10rs higher amount and they refunded same. They didnt check how much refund airline has issued.

I am in the process. I did cancellation on 21st Jan 2023. According to them it should take around 15-20 working days. So, I am still waiting for refund.

So far I used Amex points transfer to MB and book the Marriott chain of hotels from there purely by RPs so after magnus usages of 3 months able to see some 19k points as of today.
I choose location and hotel but scared to press book now button since I don’t want it to charged on magnus lol
Moving edge point to MB then booking is a time consuming game I know

You can use edge RP to book hotel. But that will give you very low value. Moving edge point to MB is almost instant. I did transfer and it took ~10-15 mins.

Ok its better to get best value for the points
In Marriott I used to get around 80p per point so far on an average

Post the dynamic pricing in MB, it might have been devalued.

EP to ITC can take about 3 to 10 days.
For some it transferred in 3 to 4 days , but for me it took 10 working days.

Also for green poinst to MB , there is a max cap of 60k points a year

Yes green points limitations per calendar year I am aware.
Luckily if the travel plan city have ITC property then to book by green points alone.
Hope ITC app accepts full points for taxes and extra charges too🙂

I received full refund on 2nd Feb 2023. Surprisingly edge points are not reversed back yet(I did transaction of 1,17,000 and received around 35k edge points)

I think it will reverse in next update iteration. Do update when the points get reversed.
