My voter id was returned, Election commission took nearly 6 months to dispatch and then the postman returned without delivering it.

I am wondering what are the other ways to get it? I am from hyderabad.

amex doesn't allow e-voter id as accepted address proof. same with hdfc

Postman takes undelivered mail back to the branch and then that is taken back to the head branch of that region the next day. You'll have to go there in person with ID proof.

Track it through the consignment number. It will show where the package got taken.

Yes, India Post. You will get SMS mentioning the tracking number when your package gets shipped.

I don't remember. Mine came in 2018 something.

No idea. My other government doc (aadhar) also came via India post and came within 3 weeks after the update.
