Welcome kit handed over by Bank official was open

I recently opened a savings max account in HDFC. However the official lady gave me the welcome kit envelope was open. I didn't collect the kit in person as I asked someone else to collect it for me. When I checked myself I saw it. What should I do now?

Was it open when the person collected the same on your behalf? Is the person well known / relative / trustworthy? Then the relationship manager can be contacted. Major risk is debit card getting exposed.

Can you check with HDFC lady if your kit is already mapped to your account or if she can issue sealed one?

Hey it seems a bit strange
If it is insta kit then you must be there in the bank itself for signing the account opening form for activation of account.Its not possible to handover to any one By bank branch.

And if it is Personalised kit then again,how has it got reached to bank ? It is supposed to be delivered at your address only.

Again if you have given ista kit then it is supposed to be open infront of you and you have to sign on the acknowledgement slip which is inside the insta kit and same has to attached with your account opening form after signature for placing the request for activation of insta kit in Bank system.

Ok. The kit was collected by by father. She said she was nearby my house so she scan hand over. I was in office. My father is saying the kit was already open when she handed it over.

You have not made a signature on acknowledgment slip which is inside the insta kit.

Yeah. I called her. She lso said the same thing. Even then I will change my debit card and net banking pin.

There is acknowledgemwnt slip inside the insta kit with Your customer id and Account number and various check box for ATM,Passbook,cheque book etc.it is in two parts and you have sign on one part acknowledging that you have received the insta kit and also recieved the items against the check boxes like Atm,cheque book,passbook and one part on which you have signed will be attached with your account application for activation of account further and this also serve the proof for bank that you have received the insta kit .
