Do you use one email or multiple email to compartment or any aliasing service.
 
Depends on what you want it for. It's like anything else out there, plenty of flavors, your best might not be someone else's best and not everyone is willing to pay for email service.

However my preferred is paid Fastmail. Reliable, tons of features, 1Password integration, etc. I also use it to consolidate my emails from GMail and Outlook into my new Fastmail which makes my life a lot easier.
The only downside is that once you get on it you'll never want to leave.

But yeah, paid or free, complex or simple, secure, any specific compatibility or features required, etc.

I also use Protonmail, mainly for security and also for the fact that Google can delete or ban your free account anytime.

However, some financial instituitions block incoming emails from Protonmail (stupid firewalls). I requested IDFC First bank to unblock Protonmail and they did.

Apart from Protonmail, I use Purelymail as well (custom domain).

If Google can delete your account, then why not protonmail or any other provider??

Good question.


Protonmail is very less likely to do so, one reason is that they are very small and another reason is that Google has a really stupid AI which locks or bans account on nonsense suspicions. If you search the web, you will find the horror stories.

For this reason, I have paid account at Purelymail as well.

Can you share some examples for which incident does the Google AI triggers any suspicious warning.

You can search. Here is one to start -

The point is, their AI is very bad (similar to Stripe or Paypal randomly locking accounts) and if you are putting all your eggs in Google's basket, you are at their mercy.

So have separate services for everything and preferably paid. So that you're not the product for them.

I created two email accounts one month apart, and both of them were blocked for a policy violation. I contacted them regarding this, but it has been a week and after the first response, there have been no further responses.

Yes, that's true for free accounts.
Paid is the future.

What are the options available to contact Google to get an account back in case of lockout situation apart from account recovery option.

It was in 2017. There was an option to contact google. They will have a bunch of questions too. Like account creation date, last accessed at, last contacted email. Answered all and contacted them and then waited.
 
Protonmail is less likely to delete accounts unless they are forced to do so. But any provider can delete accounts if and when required.
I personally use GMail. Apart from it, I also have Protonmail and Fastmail accounts.
I am currently unable to subscribe to Proton's services due to financial issues but when I can I will switch to their services (or subscribe once again to Fastmail)

No option unless your problem gets into the hands of top management or someone insider or in the news.

Google free tier doesn't have human customer service.

Proton is the Most Secured Email Client....IF u violate their rules then they will suspend you...never heard that proton suspended accounts except for you.
