What is use of (mostly useless) Times Prime?

I got Times Prime as reward from HDFC. I used for hotstar (and that too is with ads). Rest all pretty much is useless as they either are available for new user or same (useless) offer is directly available from service providers.

Why do people buy Times Prime? Or am i missing something?

Yes, It is a hassle combing through their offers and separating what is real offer from what is hogwash such as "one order totally free" ,"Get at just Rs.1" and eats lot of time and one needs to understand exclusions and remember/connect the offer when there's actual need.I stopped purchasing it even with discounts and got this year's sub with I guess ICICI/Visa offer.I was nearing 15 GB storage and was tired of cleaning up space so Google one 6 month sub helped.Good offers are indeed few and far between and as u mentioned are one time only.In the past, I have had found few learning sections useful but with all the information overload ended up consuming it from different channel.
