When does Axis Charge Annual Fee

I got my axis flipkart on 22 of May. I am thinking of closing the card. When will they Charge annual fees? When do you guys recommend closing?

My Statement date is 12th. So it get charged on may 12th? Right? or it gets charged on statement of may, as in it will be on April 12 bill?

Ask an agent on web chat .... On which date your card got approved that day you will be charged annual fee.

By the way if you close your credit card now ... You will get retention benefit as LTF myzone credit card without any cibil hit or verification

I am surprised to see guys getting attached to the cards - till the last day - even after deciding to close it.

Why wait till last minute ? And, live in tension till it is closed ?

Why not close it a month or two earlier ? Avoid trying to extract everything till the last minute.

What if - due to circumstances beyond our control - the bank charges the annual fee ? Avoid the risk, tension n avoidable correspondence with the bank.

just wondering sir. i won't take risk. Also i might have huge purchases soon on flipkart. so thinking should i use the card or not

So i can use my card until April 2026 and close it to not get any charges?

Don't fall for it. Misinformation by level 1 employees are usually ignored as mistake with a simple apology.
