Which axis card is better for me?

Hey guys,
I seek your expert advice in helping me choose the right card between Axis Ace and Airtel( especially after devaluation). I recently checked my pre approved offers and i see both axis ace( visa) and axis airtel ( Mc).

To give you some context:

1. I have a monthly recurring postpaid bill of 5.5k with airtel. I also have a recurring electricity payment of 5-7k

2. I hold flipkart and myzone cards from axis ( both LTF) and don't intend to close

3. I currently use amex and flipkart for offline spends and don't intend to change this ( inspite of ace 1.5%)

4. I have hdfc swiggy for swiggy spends and plus can't trust Airtel axis for them to credit the right CB( too much hassle)

5. Lounge is covered by my other cards so not in consideration too.

1. Choose Airtel to pay 1000 to Airtel and 2500 electricity bills every month and the balance amount of Airtel and electricity bills you can pay using Amazon pay.

3. Get Atlas for offline 4%

4. Airtel will give you 10% cashback on Swiggy ,(Max 500 on 5000 per month) provided it is only food home delivery. Swiggy mart grocery orders will not get 10% cashback

I was a big believer of Axis cards and publicly recommended their Vistara cards and the Atlas variant.

But lately, there have been way too many changes, again I mention changes and not the word devaluation.

As the cards get distributed wider, the benefits are bound to change or slow down.

What Axis has been doing is not just devaluing but changing their rules, going back to re-changing them again, confusing and annoying people.

Any card that you apply for today might not have the same benefits by the time it reaches you.

If I was you, I would slow down and skip them for now until things get settled. 🙂

If I had to use only 1 card for ease?

I dont want to split the payments or go through the entire buy apay. I already do that for Amazon vouchers for other purposes that's why looking one specifically to pay for electricity and mobile postpaid to make things easy

And yeah I have the swiggy hdfc card , so Im covered on swiggy spends as that amount will rarely ever go above 15k/month

I agree, but why not use it until then?

I feel every card were enjoying now is going to change when more people adopt credit cards. We'll get more revolvers and people who abuse the system and the cards we love today are also going to get devalued.

Might as well grab what you can now and churn till they decide to change

1 no point ka mtlb samaj nhi aaya... airtel recharge aur electricity bill pay airtel thanks app se krne par hi to Cashback milta hai na?? Phir Amazon pay se kaise?

Airtel Axis in pre-approved list, that's rare.
Haha, yeah, I've been constantly checking for the last 1 month. The cards kept changing. And finally airtel showed up and that's why I want to act on it if it's the best for my use case.

I have neo as LTF too in the options but I guess that's common now.

What were your usage patterns with existing Airtel cards?

1000 and 2500 are the maximum limits for cashback every month for Airtel and utility bills respectively.
So you need to pay bills within that limit.
Any excess payment about the limit will not get cashback.
