NRI Customers can get only secured credit cards by booking a fixed deposit with them. HDFC issues even Infinia on fixed deposit basis.

Based upon foreign docs I am not sure hdfc opens account
For Indians to get hdfc add on 2 ways one cust id other by kyc docs
But for nri cust Id of similar category only possible afaik
Some of the nri RMs can cross checked
