How many debit cards allowed per account?

Seeking your expertise to share knowledge for those in doubt. I will try to update this wiki thread as per the verified input received from others who have already availed or availing multiple debit card benifits in their savings account (single holder).

If you have more than one debit card in a single savings account then please write your bank name, number of debit card you currently hold in that account, mention the debit card variant as well if possible.

Also mention your account variant if that has enabled you getting more cards.

In SBI, maximum is 2 or 3. If you try to exceed that limit, net banking will block you from doing so.

Even getting 2 is hard, if you got any premium card like JCB RuPay.

For IDFC, 01 Main Card and 01 FIRSTAP Card (may be considered Virtual)

If you upgrade or apply any other card, the previous card gets closed.

I am not 100% sure. If someone has more than 01 Physical Card, he may correct it.

For HDFC -- 02 Physical debit cards in single account (Easyshop platinum DC for 1st holder & Millennia DC for 2nd holder).
For joint holding it is definitely possible. But for single holder it is extremely difficult. I have tried and tested. I currently have 4 inactive debit cards in the process of doing so, all issued in last one year. Branch may approve as a special case though but through online almost impossible.

Not possible for an individual account. If we are talking about a joint account, the purpose of this list becomes void, as many banks allow you to have 2 debit cards under a joint account.

There is a way to have multiple DCs, but that's not the purpose of this thread as OP is getting generic information only.
