Which cards can I get LTF with high ITR (1cr+), and less spending?

  • My spending is not more than 7-8L per year.
  • I do not wish to maintain a high-value relationship with any bank
I'm looking for credit cards that are either LTF or would have low "effective" fees in the sense that the renewal benefit would have value for someone who doesn't stay in hotels. I do have a high ITR, and I recently got to know that there are cards like BoB Eterna that offer LTF cards just based on high ITRs. Looking for more cards like this one. 🙂 I already have an LTF DCB with 6.5L limit.

With such spends, I would suggest to have a good NRV in HDFC. They will offer you Infinia for sure as LTF with the HDFC programme.

If you’re looking for only LTF then IDFC Wealth is also a great option.

But If your spends usually cross 1 lakh+ for at least 4-5 months in a years, you can consider getting the Axis Magnus. Its reward rate is unmatched right now and though the annual/joining fees is ₹11,800, with accelerated rewards on spends>1 lakh in a month you’ll get 25000 Edge points which are worth ₹5000 which can make you easily recover your annual fees and you still get the welcome benefits. Do check technofino’s video explaining the rewards further.

A lot would depend upon your net monthly salary. ITR filing also depends upon company stock options, and many banks don't consider stock options for giving cc, so net salary is crucial. That said, you're a high NWI. In my limited knowledge, you should try for all super-premium cards
  • Infinia upgrade from DCB: Infinia LTF is highly unlikely. Never heard anyone having LTF for metal variant. You can try for LTF though. Effective fee would be ₹2.25k assuming ₹8L annual spend.
  • Axis Magnus: Again, never heard of LTF. But no harm in trying. Maybe they'll issue LTF hearing your package(they give magnus at ₹18L ITR only).
  • SCB Ultimate: LTF is rare. Effective fee is mentioned in the comment above.
  • IDFC wealth: Recently, they have prioritized Select over Wealth. In some thread on this forum, someone mentioned ₹1.3L per month as unofficial net salary for Wealth. But the bank refused to give Wealth at higher salaries as well. You can try your luck here. IDFC Wealth is always LTF. Don't settle for Select.
  • SBI cashback: 5% cashback for online spends capped at 10k points per month. Nothing comes close.
Let us know if your high salary was useful in any scenario. It'd motivate us further!

I would recommend three cards from Axis which are either LTF or near LTF
  1. Axis Magnus - Since your spends are near to 8L and you may be able to hit 1L milestone at least one time. It has renewal benefit of Tata Cliq voucher or air ticket
  2. Axis Select - You should be having Axis Burgundy account for LTF
  3. Axis Privilege - You should be having Axis Priority account for LTF
You may also try for ICICI Emerald LTF. The criteria for paid one is 3L net salary/30L ITR and above that salary/ITR you may get it LTF. Though its rewards are pathetic.

IndusInd Crest card has 2L joining fee and then after LTF. Check out the review from @TechnoFino
