My guess is, the mcc merchant allocation is done automatically, and mostly linked based on
1. The DC Network and the Issuing bank of that DC that you are using.
2. CC for which we are paying the bills (their bank and network)
3. Mobile or Desktop/laptop
4. Mobile data, incognito, fixed data
5. Amount of transaction.
6. Your frequency and volume of transactions (gap between transactions)
Guys, I don't have IDFC DC. But telling this just in case it helps someone.

so, just do Rs10 or Rs100 transaction and save your card on freecharge.
