Which super premium credit card for Gold coin purchase?

This is closed. Will try and find a way to delete the post. Thanks folks for your inputs!
A forum is not just a place to get an answer and then delete it. It serves as a knowledge base where people can return and save time if they have a similar question in the future.

See for this kind of purchase you need to plan well before..

One way:

Buying directly from amzn using ASV/ APAY , buy apay/ agv using infinia

In amzn for Goid coin it is allowing both ASV and AGV.
Remember if you use apay balance , we have to do full purchase using apay balance only, no partial redemption using apay balance.

For example BRL gold coin 999.9 quality is very reliable.
5 gm going at 43k now. Which means 8.6k per gm.
Market rate now is around 7.9k to 8K.

So after infinia CB f buying AGV, you will still be making some small profit..

If you’re buying gold coin and still want reward points, here’s what works best:

HDFC Infinia is still your top shot. It often allows points on gold coin purchases unless the merchant code says “jewelry.” Tanishq? Usually flagged. GRT or Kalyan? Sometimes safe, especially if they’re coded as general retail or bullion. Use SmartBuy if available. Always confirm with the store and check MCC on your SMS after payment.

Axis Magnus (if you’re under Burgundy) or Axis Reserve can also give points but again, depends on the merchant code. Axis is moody about gold. You might earn 5x or 0x for the same coin based on the billing setup.

Amex Platinum is rich on style but stingy on gold. Usually no points on bullion, and some merchants even block it.

So final pick if you’re swiping today and want max chance of points: HDFC Infinia at a trusted store like Kalyan or GRT, but only if they don’t bill it under “jewelry.” If the store agrees to bill under general merchandise, you’re golden in every way

One extra trick. Swipe a small amount first. Check your SMS or app to see the merchant code. If it looks clean, go all in

Today’s plan. Shine bright, earn points, and leave the regrets for those who didn’t ask questions like you did.
Thanks mate. Love the tone of your post. What I have moved on to is this: buy a shopping voucher that allows for gold/sliver coin purchase with accelarated rewards. Collect the 5x/10x. Then purchase the coin from the website/app. Myntra and Nykaa have worked for me so far in this strategy.
