Why so much spend target offer in this month (June) ?

Hey,

Whats with most of the banks sending spend based targets in this month (June) ?

1. Federal bank cc providing double rewards on a spent target
2. Amex Gold providng additional points on spent target
3. One card providing 7X points on spent target
4. Au bank providing vochers on In-store Gold spending target (which is slightly different)
5. IDFC debit card providing additional RPs on spent target
6. HDFC providing 1k voucher for 75k spent target

Any specific reason ? can anyone throw some light in this ?

All ready completed IDFC target..but its cc payment using idfc debit card in sbiunipay. Dont know it will be accpeted for the campaing.
Amex will be completed next month.
Rest offers shall rest peacefully.

Can you check your First Rewards Program? I did transactions using my new First Select DC via SBI Unipay but have yet not receive the rewards. Before 10th June all rewards are accountable.

One of the ways credit cards make money is through the cut of the MDR they receive. They are going to encourage people to spend more, especially as @SSV pointed out it is quarter end so they are trying to meet some internal sales targets.

Got it, the timeframe they fix is very difficult for the customers to achieve it. Not many would achieve such targets. Hence it is gonna be blow for their sales target.
