There are so many discussions scattered everywhere about this topic, but no concrete answer.
[Disclaimer]: This is only for legitimate cases, genuine people looking for genuine rent payment.

Here you go:

1. Register your rent payment in RedGirraffe with valid docs (agreement) and owner details.
2. Once approved, register the RG ID in HDFC's own bill pay portal.
3. Pay using your HDFC CC.
4. RG will charge 0.39%+GST. Lowest in market.
5. HDFC won't charge anything as paid from their own platform like Bill pay. Obviously, you won't get any reward point though.
6. Pay the credit card bill when times come using the known methods using Debit card. 1% cashback.

So, you are actually not losing here. In fact, slightly positive (maybe just enough for a Starbuck coffee 😎)

At least for now above works until they start charging 1% even in their own platform.

You never know if they change this anytime soon..so don't blame me 😆

note: legitimate cases, genuine people looking for genuine rent payment not getting PAN and/or agreement from their respective home owners. So, other options also needed.

How to get MB? My rent is 85K currently and due for revision in a few months.

MB will give you points only upto 50k per month. For remaining 35k you wont get any rewards, so overall reward rate will come down to may be zero. MB not recommended in this case.

However still, you have to upgrade account to burgundy and reach out to your RM to get MB card

Does HDFC Millennia consider Rent pay for quarterly milestone? It used to. But since they started the 1 percent on Payzap, I was using my PNB select. Not an option any more, so have been using UPI for the last couple of months. Didn't realize the HDFC Bill Pay portal isn't charging the 1 percent...

Can someone reconfirm this?
