Axis Atlas Will I get Tier upgrade and Milestone benefits of Axis Atlas if I pay via Cred education?

My renewal date is coming up and I'm around 50k short for Gold tier. I'm willing to bear the 1.5 percent charge that comes with Cred Education payment.


I'm not sure of the MCC. Will I get charged rent surcharge of 1 percent extra from Axis too?

Tried Education payment via Cred in January for 1.4L and received both miles and payment was considered in milestone.
