Will not activating BoB credit card result in it's closure?

I applied and got BoB Select credit card but the limit i got in it is very less. I wanted to keep it for bank offers but I doubt i can utilise those offers with a limit of 25k.
I don't want this card and would like to apply again, maybe for premier card after a couple of months via C2C.
I have received the Select card but I have not activated it.
So for closing this card, do i have to raise any closure request or just not activating the card would do?

Hey, it is not about bob, but an rbi rule that if you don't activate your card within 30 days of receiving it then it would be deactivated.
