25th August 2024: I opened a ICICI savings account from imobile app. During the process, I received a SMS of a CIBIL hit done by ICICI bank. After checking my CIBIL account I found out that it was for a personal loan I never applied for.
6th September 2024: I mailed ICICI PNO and also raised dispute at cibil.com on the same day, but it was closed by CIBIL without taking any action.
14th September 2024: ICICI replied me and asked for few details and CIBIL report which I provided to them.
25th September 2024: ICICI replied me with a service request number and said the same will be processed by 15th October 2024. But after that they neither replied ever nor removed the credit enquiry.
17th August 2025: Registered a complaint with RBIO against ICICI and asked for compensation of 15k.
8th September 2025: ICICI removed the CIBIL hit and mailed me about the same and also requested me to withdraw the complaint.
18th October 2025: ICICI mailed me to inform “we regret our inability to accept your request towards the compensation claim”
24th October 2025: Received a mail from RBIO about the actions taken by ICICI. RBIO gave me 3 days to comment on it. I replied to them on the same day and asked for compensation.
13th November 2025: Received 5k as compensation.
17th November 2025: Received complaint closure mail from RBIO mentioning the 5k compensation.
