So around December 20 I applied for yes bank Ace LTF card through kredit pe app to get 500 cashback. Did all the formalities, VKYC etc. finally recieved an SMS after few days saying my card did not got approved (in January). Did nothing after it and forgot about it
After a few hours a call came from their agent saying I got 2 lakh something limit approved, the only reason my card got rejected is because of address mismatch. I was sceptical as it never happened before and my address is spot on. I asked her multiple times and she confirmed me the same, that the application will be continued. I again asked her and she insisted.
So I proceeded, she filled out the details for me and also this time she changed the occupation details by increasing the salary/income. I argued why, she said sir let me do it as it's the process. After sometime she sent me a link to complete video KYC. I did it and after 2 days the card got approved.
I was happy to get it, I knew I won't get the 500 cashback from the app as the agent have had her refferal but still I was happy to give her cut. Whole in the application process, it was nowhere mentioned that the card was a scam. Anyways, to my surprise when I got the welcome SMS, it said Yes BYOC Card. That's a scam card and useless for me that too comes with 250 joining fees and monthly subscription cost. Hence I quickly sent them a mail telling them about this scam.
The card got delivered but I still haven't activated it. I denied the consent (as the app is Telling me to activate it within 37 days or it'll be gone). My main issue is that I got this trash, I need my ace card again that too lifetime free. Also the cibil enquiries and the registration of the credit limit of this one is damaging.
The bank is not replying, I will probably contact RBI ombudsman after 30 days. Guys can you help me with this.
