Hi All.
Working in private sector and planning to open a BOB savings account with strong Debit card.
Please suggest between super savings account and BOB professional savings account

One thing to note, Professional account does not allow apply physical debit card online. You need to do that via branch. While Super savings account allow online apply.

Super Savings a/c: 20K MAB, anyone can open
Professional Savings a/c: 25 MAB Only those who completed higher education with a professional degree

BOB Advantage Savings a/c: Can apply DC online and have multiple different debit cards - virtual, physical, RuPay, Visa
Super savings a/c: Can apply DC online, RuPay Select or virtual Visa/RuPay
Professional savings a/c: Branch visit for having a professional degree 😛
Masterstroke account: Only 1 Visa Infinite DC allowed which does not even work on BookMyShow Visa Infinite offer, also cannot apply DC online, branch visit required for every task for having 10L in savings 😛😛

This is BOB for you

Hi
Will autosweep be turned on by default in Super savings account in Bob?

So, I got a question, I have a super saving account. MAB is, I think, 20K, but because of auto sweep, most of the time the bank fixes the excess amount (above 10K) into a flexible FD. My point is whether those flexible FDs (AUTO SWEEP) are considered for calculating MAB or not? Because if not, then I have to contact the bank to close those auto sweep FDs.

Yes, same happens with my account too. Honestly, I hate it, the entire statement is filled with sweep-ins and sweep-outs. The best option is to disable it, but that can only be done at the branch.

As for your query, just maintaining a balance of ₹20K. You are fine.

I am maintaining the balance, but like I said, the thing is they sweep out anything above 10K, so in this case, the bank will consider those sweep amounts in MAB, right?
