Thoughts on Indus advantage savings account in indusind Bank

1. Indusind bank customer care is useless, no one knows anything. After hours you will be put to where you started about this type of account. They will tell you to go to branch more than SBI, who are patented to tell that.

2. Branch has no idea about advantage savings account. They will tell you to consider opening normal accounts like parrots. They also make false promises to open for now and later they will convert. But they won't.

3. This account exists and works very well. They are also opening this account. For new to bank credit card application it works good.

4. Those who had Paytm account and made FDs in past have a customer ID in indusind. These folks will face strange problems without any sign or error code.

3. Their email reply comes after ages. But works. Wait patiently. Stick to this route and send reminders.

They will contact you and helps to open the account.

I have opened my indusind advantage savings account this way. It's fully functional and working like charm. To me it's one of the finest account I have.

what's your thoughts on this.

Sir, are you sure that my account directly will be opened as select zero balance account? Or should I ask them to provide a curated link before I start? Just like the one they sent me for a lower variant.
If you click on the above link it opens the below URL.. if you carefully observe it is select account url..
so it opens select SB account..

about select becoming 0 MAB, as you already got legend CC, it automatically become 0 MAB..

Once you open select account and open IndusInd mobile app, the both will be automatically linked.. to confirm this automatic linking you can find this at the below place in the app.. this means your select account will be 0 MAB..

check this post for details..

you need to do initial funding of 50K ( I cant remeber exactly now.. but it is definitely less than 50K).. you can do this initial funding via UPI / DC..
and you can withdraw within a day / two ... or keep it for a week for safe side until you receive the Kit and DC..

This is the tricky one sir. 50K funding one.

Benefits at the moment don't excite me much. Personal usage patterns are different. Might wait for sometime or wait for some body chemicals to instigate my mind to proceed on that direction.

Thank you for detailed information.

In that case ....

If Advantage comes free, open it for now.

Later, visit a branch, and upgrade to Select on the basis of Legend. No additional investment should be necessary.
.
Thank you sir.

I would like to confirm, if anyone here have easily and successfully done that or not?

It would be really helpful, if possible.

The main question remains, if I visit a branch later for the select upgrade won't they ask me for funding?

Almost all of my posts passing on some information are based on personal experience, and so is this one (I had upgraded from Maxima to Select).

Please open the Advantage account in an easily accessible branch. Try to build up some rapport with some staff like the BM or RM, and take your request for the Select upgrade to him/her along with the Legend card and the relevant SoC showing eligibility for a free Select account. They may try to extract some investment, but be firm, and don't yield. For me, I wasn't even asked. Good luck.

I would love ur additional efforts to get me the web link of that SoC. In the meantime I will also request google to do that for me.

Rapport may not be required in my case. I think I-card would be sufficient because it's tier 2/3 city. But I have to take backseat if they ask me to deposit. It would be an embarrassment for me as well.

Thanks.

If you open Select account through the branch then you have to do initial funding of ₹1 Lakh and if you want to upgrade to select then you have to keep ₹50,000 in your account.

Correct... this was what I read many.many times in this forum...
Opening online is much easier and liberal than offline in case of these indusind accounts
Again individual experiences may differ and there will be always some exceptions.
To make a rational decision we need to go by general circumstances rather than exceptions..
@2025 , now choice is yours.

Attached please find the Select Schedule of Benefits (downloaded from IndusInd).

There is no reason for embarrassment for something that one is not responsible for.
