You can redeem on any payment portal or on purchasing voucher on idfc portal .
99 is applicable for conversion

I thought ASV can be used only to buy products from amazon.

IG he meant this for CC rewards. CC RPs can be claimed as statement credit at the otp page of any transaction

you could use ASV to buy a lot of the vouchers available at Amazon. eg MakeMyTrip, Tanishq, GRT jewellers etc

I personally redeem for 10K ASV and convert them to GRT jewellers and buy a 1g 24K gold coin. I have accumulated close to 5g of gold solely from IDFC

isn't the price higher on their website as I can see. every gm of 22k gold coin's price is inflated higher of around 270 rs.

No, when you enter your card details during purchase on Flipkart Amazon or any other site ... On otp page you will get option to redeem points meaning you can pay with points , however fee of 99 is applicable.
