Upgrade from legend to tiger, is it really free?

I have had a lot of disappointing experience with indusind bank.
Their customer service is one of the worst. They keep on flashing this number to dial for customer service (186026777777) it may look like toll free but it's chargeable

Please read below attachment, I gave them consent of legend to tiger if it's free but now they saying it's chargeable. I haven't activated my card yet. What shoud I do?

Through support alwasy chargeable, if needed LTF check with branch, thats the only option. Indus, Kotak still offline only branches.

Btw, Tiger is LTF. As u said its poor support and replied with template (do not take seriously and especially DO NOT THINK ITS PERSONALIZED)

no dont worry , tiger is free only even if u upgrade .

mention them , in the website tiger card is not having fees , then how come joining fees we have to pay

they will upgrade for sure

I already upgraded from legend to tiger. I was using legend for only lounge access for an year. It decreased from 2 in quarter to 1 and finally they removed lounge access altogether from last month.
I got tiger for free domestic and international lounge access without spend based.
It took this decision while I was in deep sleep, I wrote an email asking about split limit and they called me early morning Sunday and said split is not possible but upgrade is possible and I think I said yes to her.
So this is the story of me losing LEGEND.
Do you think I did the right thing considering my requirements?
