Mal Practice to Sell Credit Card!

Hello Everyone,

I recently received a call from an HDFC Bank official regarding a Credit Card (HDFC Millennia). I asked him whether it was a LTF he told me yes, so I agreed to take it! Upon receiving the card when I called customer care they told me that it was not a LTF. I contacted the bank official to ask him about the same and he told me that customer service is not aware of it and it's a LTF (Which I think is bizarre).

I'm really confused. Can anyone suggest how shall i proceed?

You might have received the call from 3rd party CC agent, not actual bank representative. They don't mis-sell as calls are always on recorded line.

Hdfc only calls for pre-approved cards. You were probably cheated by a agent. Drop a mail to Grievance.Redressal@hdfcbank.com and ask them about LTF thing and if they deny then tell them your story.

They did the same to me twice, Customer care call for confirmation and said it is LTF should I procced I said yes, but when it come to me it was paid closed both the card.

Later they said it was spend based LTF. 😏 .

Don't believe in HDFC, I still applied third time and got LTF. Took confirmation over mail from them.

Best get it confirmed on email that you hold LTF card and there is no conditional spend required to have it LTF. Email to Grievance.Redressal@hdfcbank.com

sharing my experience.
4 years back. my friend was sold amex cc as ltf. when he got charged, he contacted amex customer care. they denied giving ltf to him. so he asked them to refer the call records. they told him that due to technical issue, the call records were deleted!

my own experience in last 6 months: hdfc rm assigned to me told me over official phone number that alumni offer does not exist for ltf DCB. i contacted grievance redressal who then arranged for the document submission and got me the card.

so don't depend on recorded call line, the records exist only for the benefit of banks.

Drop an email to customerservices.cards@hdfcbank.com asking for LTF confirmation. If it was issued as LTF, you'll get attached response.
